In fact Soham alongwith Jaipur boy Sumit Somani bagged the top honours while another Rajasthanlad Vikas Prajapati and T Immanuel Illavarasan of Chennai bagged bronze medalit was learnt. A total of 265students from 68 countries participated in the international Chemistrylympiad. Soham was the second topper in AIEEE countrywide and topper inMaharashtra and aims to be a scientist at NASA. In addition Soham ranked 68in IIT-JEE and wants to pursue aerospace engineering.

Translated it’s film speak for I love you. It was also the firstfilm that Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai worked together in and struck up afriendship. Nevermind that the film crashed and burned at the box office the duo became bestfriends. “It was the first time we worked together and we have fond memories ofthe film. It was a lot of fun” says Abhishek of his first interaction with Ash.

The gold medallist was Nguyen Thi Ngoc Minh from the Ha Noi National University’s High School. Meanwhile Phan Tran Hong Ha from the Ha Noi National University’s High School and Bui Le Linh from Hai Phong City’ Tran Phu High School bagged silver medals.

Published on July 25 2007 Competing against teams from 68 other countries Bovorn Hongsrijinda of Assumption College Bangrak won the gold medal said IPST deputy director Naree Wongsirojanakul. Thanathorn Korthaveewattana from Mahidol Wittayanusorn School Pornchai Kaewsabsak from Trium Udom Suksak School and Techin Chulates from Trium Udom Suksak School each won a silver. The Thai team and their teachers will arrive back at Suvarnabhumi Airport tomorrow morning. In related news Chatchawal Khamyong a fourth-year student from Chiang Mai's Payap University won first prize in the MS Excel 2003 application at the Microsoft ffice Specialist lympics 2007 held on July 19 in rlando Florida.

It’s just one of many reasons Callaghan loves living in East Lyme Conn. outside Mystic with her husband; their children Elizabeth 4; Brendan 2 and Brian 5 months; and their black cocker spaniel Molly. Callaghan earned her bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Canisius then went to Yale where she planned to earn her doctorate. “You basically work as slave labor for a professor. It’s a form of indentured servitude” she said of her fellowship. “For a lot of people especially women you kind of say enough is enough after a while. I left after a master’s in chemistry from Yale… “She returned to Buffalo and taught science at the Nichols School working on her master’s in education from Canisius at the same time. But the workload was heavy the pay was low and Callaghan decided that Buffalo wasn’t where she wanted to be. She headed for Boston where she landed a chemistry job at the Cabot Corp. There she met Li a theoretical chemist and a graduate of Peking University. The two married and moved to Mystic where Li had been hired at Pfizer. Soon Callaghan was hired there too doing organic synthetic chemistry. Since Elizabeth was born Callaghan has been a stay-at-home mom delving into projects with the same fervor she attacked academics and chemistry.
