–>CPYRIGHT 2007 Christianity Today Inc. Do you remember first falling for your spouse? Those late nights talking on the phone? Surprising her with a dozen roses you picked up from the local flower stand? Skipping sleep to write him that epic love poem? Can you recall those countless hours when thoughts and images of your sweetheart seemed constantly to invade your mind? How your hands got sweaty when you thought of him? Your heart pounding moments before you went in for that goodnight kiss? Love is so emotional straight from the heart right? Wrong. Although it’s strong it’s powerful it connects our souls and can take over our thoughts during the day and our dreams at night there’s a science behind love. It’s chemical and comes straight from the brain. The more we understand the science of love the better we’ll understand ourselves and the better our chances at keeping romance alive our love fresh and our marriage strong.

Art Culinaire spoke with two of its organizers to find out how they plan on accomplishing this. KK: A big part of what I do is try to get grant support for research that’s going on in my lab. We do basic research in the unfolding of complex molecules and creating new drug and diagnostic compounds. As part of my funding effort I applied for a grant from the National Science Foundation… I looked at that and said “kay you want imaginative? I’ll give you imaginative. ” So I walked into Will Goldfarb’s restaurant (Room 4 Dessert) and said “I need to talk to people about polymer chemistry in a way that they’ll understand it. Can you help me communicate polymer chemistry through demonstrations of food preparation?” I expected him to chuck me out of his restaurant that I was some kind of crazed scientist. And he said “I’ve been waiting for someone like you. CPYRIGHT 2007 Culinaire Inc.

And all the while Stuntman Mike iscircling and the threat of something dangerous and in this casestomach-churningly shocking hangs heavy in the air. In part two however Mike foolishly picks on a typically Tarantino-esquefoursome of feisty femmes including Rosario Dawson and the real-life stuntwoman and full-time plank Bell ( see feature page 13) and thus hisretribution is guaranteed. Here the screen scratches and jump cuts arealmost entirely absent (did Tarantino get bored?) the chemistry between theleads is decidedly wobbly and the whole thing culminates in an uninspiredtorture porn finale. Which as any Grindhouse fan knows is a shame.

in one of the fields of science — chemistry physics math biology — approach their senior year most of the kids are pre-med majors and are planning on going to medical school. Then comes analytical chemistry and some of them have a change of heart about medical school or dental school. But yet they are bright kids who are going to earn a degree and graduate and so what we say to them in their junior year is “Think about teaching. And if you think about teaching we’ll give you a fast track in your senior year and you’ll graduate on time with a B. degree in chemistry physics or biology and a teaching certificate to teach in a high school.
