It worked to a degree. The Knicks led by 9 points in the second quarter and held a 51-50 edge at halftime. Thomas was so fearful of disrupting the chemistry that he kept Curry on the bench to start the second half. Then Thomas out-thought himself force-feeding Curry back into the game to start the fourth quarter. Curry missed one layup hit another and was caught out of position at least twice on the defensive end before Thomas yanked him. “I knew he was probably a little cold and probably was out of rhythm” Thomas said “and I know going forward we’re going to need him to win basketball games. So I tried to get him back in… It ain’t like I played my way out of the lineup. ” Referring to Thomas Randolph added: “He’s got a lot of pressure on him right now and he said something about the chemistry and guys who played together before. He wanted to let them play together try to get the chemistry back because they played together and they were together before me.

” We’re not going to change anything or do anything differently ” Smith said. ” We’re just going to see how well the things we’ve been doing that have been successful will fare against some very good competition. ” Smith lauded his pupils ‘ chemistry but said his bench will likely be tested in Duncanville. ” ur kids have functioned well together ” Smith said. ” We’ve used a different lineup almost every time. But it has been the same rotation of kids. When we’ve had to go deeper in our bench we’ve been able to do that but I think three or four or even five games in three days will definitely test our depth a little bit… ” Host Mountain Home Arkadelphia Russellville and Greene County Tech are among the competitors. ” Hopefully we’ll get to play some good competition ” Gebhart said. ” We need to get continuity and our chemistry back. Christmas break is always tough because you’re forced to take some time off and then we get to practice for an hour get on a bus and go play. ” Gebhart also said he will use the tournament as a chance to utilize his bench in an array of predicaments to test their mettle and gauge how well they mesh with the starters. ” We want to get ready and use this as a final tuneup for conference ” Gebhart said. ” We’ve got several guys who are capable of helping us in different situations.
