12 2008 OTTAWA ONTARIO Dec 12 2008 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) –Volatility has characterized the Canadian chemistry industry’sperformance in the last year according to a year-end business surveyof the members of the Canadian Chemical Producers’ Association(CCPA). “High energy and raw material costs and the rapid swing in the valueof the Canadian dollar combined with the crash in demand in thehousing and auto sectors were all major contributors to thisvolatility” said Richard Paton President of CCPA. “As a keysupplier to many other sectors the global slowdown will hit oursector hard in 2009. In 2008 total sales of basic chemicals and resins reached $25billion – a 2% increase from 2007 in current dollars. This was mainlythe result of a significant increase in input prices which werepassed through during the early part of the year.

Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston’s new movie Marley and Me comes out in two weeks and in an interview with USA Today the costars discussed their onscreen and off-screen chemistry. “It was an instant ease when we met and started rehearsing and I think it’s rare” Aniston said. In an interview with MTV the actress claimed her favorite Owen Wilson movie was Bottle Rocket saying when she saw the movie she never imagined actually working with Wilson. “I remember thinking ‘Oh he’s one of those actors. He’ll never want to work with a sitcom star’” Aniston laughed.

The Bears will also be playing in this weekend’s tournament providing a big dose of “what if?” Cal stars Devanei Hampton and Alexis Gray-Lawson played club ball with the twins and the group could have continued its chemistry into college. “Everywhere I go people ask me ‘Why didn’t they go to Cal?’ ” said Bubba who is a motivational speaker. Cal seemed far less of a sure thing than Oklahoma. The Paris twins chose a school where the women’s team outdraws the men the facilities are top notch and athletic dominance is expected. But the Sooners were bounced out of the Sweet 16 in the twins’ first two seasons (by Stanford their freshman year) and suffered a devastating second-round loss last March to Notre Dame.
